As far as know on the plains of Central Asia there are many cities with hundreds of architectural monuments from different epochs. Among the most famous are Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz, Termez and Kokand. These cities were centers of science and art. Great architects created palaces, mosques and mausoleums, world famous monuments of ancient architecture, to memorialize Alexander the Great and Chengiz Khan. Many of these masterpieces did not survive, but by visiting those which have been preserved it is possible to glimpse the pages of the past. Your travel in Uzbekistan will be unforgettable. You will see minarets, grandiose madrassahs and mosques, palaces and mausoleums decorated with incredible ceramic tiles, noisy and colorful oriental bazaars, interesting legends, warm hospitality and the ancient traditions of local population.

Tour Schedule

Day -1  Tashkent – Arrival

 You will be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel. Check in and after midday start guided sightseeing tour in the capital of Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia. You will start with exploring the Old city. Visit Khast Imam complex, where the world’s oldest Koran, holy book that belonged to Caliph Uthman, has been preserved. The complex consists of Barak-khan madrasah, Tilla Sheykh mosque, Keffal Shashi mausoleum and the Islamic Institute of Imam Bukhari. Continue to Chorsu bazaar. Then take a ride on Tashkent metropolitan to the city center, stroll around Amir Temur square, Independence sqaure and visit museum Applied Arts.

Overnight in Tashkent

Day-2 Tashkent – Urgench

Transfer to domestic airport, morning flight to Urgench departing at 07:15 (1093 km, 1 h 40 min). Arrival in Urgench at 9:30, transfer to the hotel in Khiva (30 km, 35 min).

After check in start visiting a UNESCO World Heritage site . In Ichan-Qala town visit Kalta Minor minaret and madrasah, Kunya Ark, Muhammad Rakhimkhan madrasah, Jome mosque, Abdullakhan Madrasah, Tosh Khovli, Kharem, Islam Khodja minaret and madrasah, Pakhlavon Makhmoud mausoleum and craft centres. 

Overnghit in Khiva

Day -3 Khiva- Bukhara

After breakfast transfer to Bukhara, crossing Kyzyl Kum(Red Sand) desert (approx 7hours drive). On the way visit Chor Bakr necropolis. Arrive in Bukhara.

Day-4  Bukhara

After breakfast start walking sightseeing tour in Bukhara.
Visit Ismail Samani mausoleum, Chashmai Ayub mausoleum, Bolo-Khauz mosque, Bukhara Ark, Poi Kalon ensemble, Ulughbek and Abudulazizkhan madrasahs, Trading domes, Magoki Attori mosque, Lyabi Khauz ensemble, Chor Minor madrasah.

Dinner and national show at Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasah.

Overnight in Bukhara

Day -5  Bukhara – Samarkand

Breakfast. Start the second day with a visit to Sitorai Mokhi Khosa – summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir, unique site combining Oriental and Russian architecture. Continue to Bakhauddin Naqshabnd mausoleum. In the afternoon drive to Samarkand. Arrive in Samarkand, check in to the hotel.

Day-6  Samarkand

After breakfast, Samarkand sightseeing tour. Visit spectacular Registan sqaure, Guri Amir – authentic shrine of Tamerlane, remains of Bibi-Khanum mosque, Siab bazaar, Ulughbek observatory. Free time in the afternoon.

Overnight in Samarkand

Day-7  Samarkand – Tashkent

Breakfast. Continue sightseeing tour in Samarkand. You will visit Shakhi-Zindah Necropolis, Afrosiab museum and the tomb of St Daniel. Then drive to Koni Ghil village to explore traditional way of making Samarkand paper from mulberry. Farewell lunch in Samarkand.
At 16:30 transfer to the railway station to take the high-speed Afrosiyob train departing at 17:30 (300 km, 2 h 10 m) and arriving in Tashkent at 19:40. Pick-up and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight in Tashkent

Day-8  Tashkent – departure

Check-out from the hotel till noon. Transfer to the airport.
